So, how come you're here? by Rose0fMay So, how come you're here? by Rose0fMay
Ok, let's get serious, nobody is reading this part, your eyes are elsewhere. Do people even still play this game? Anyway, I'm trained in various martial arts (shuri ryu, jujitsu, and wrestling primarily) and spent two years competing. I have three state titles. So Tina's a good match for me as far as characters go :)

I chose to make the bra ultra glitzy because Tina's the resident wrestler and we all know how glam wrestlers make their costumes. It seemed appropriate.

This costume is surprisingly (and appropriately?) durable for legitimate street fights and tussles. How I learned this is not important.

(that you've competed and hold 3 state titles)
Your outfit is fantastic also!

Damn girl!!! Yes, I play all the fighting games and you are an AMAZING Tina. I was actually just playing DOA 3 on the old Xbox and getting pissed because Bass is the cheapest character in the game, followed closely by Bayman and the damn ninjas. That's awesome that you have a striking background in martial arts as well as ground game. :D Anyhow, great job! :winner:

Can't think of anything damned near remotely intelligent to say. To damned erotic. Wrestling/street fighting/tussling with you must be a whole lot of fun... says I, idly wondering:
a) what the ropes for?
b) what your 'special' move is?
c) how I can possibly get into a tussle with you?

I do not play this game.

Pretty surprised to hear you wrestled, even more surprised to hear you've competed (and won, apparently) I wrestled until about 10th grade (8 years ago) and have the bad knee to show for it. You mentioned you were in Sarasota for a sport sponsorship, was that for martial arts?

I'm not surprised, the order of progression tends to be Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Soul Caliber, and Street Fighter...and then occasionally someone will throw in Dead or Alive. I'm actually not into fighting games at all, I just briefly played through DOA4 and the Xtreme's and thought Tina was all sorts of hilarious. Her father is so obviously based on Hulk Hogan.

My titles are actually in boxing, and yes, that was what my sponsorship was for. I've never competed in wrestling. Conversations better for speaking though, I don't like plastering details of my life on the interweb. :)

I pretty much only play Street Fighter and Smash Brothers as far as fighters go, I never played Mortal Kombat after the Genesis fell out of popularity and skipped Tekken all together, Soul caliber and I have our differences and never seem to form a lasting relationship despite numerous rendezvous. Aside from that, It's pretty much just RPG's (can't get enough of Mass Effect)

I have experience Boxing and Wrestling with a little bit of recently learned Systema (mostly to make up for my bad knee) mixed in. I've never competed and I've not had to fight anyone since deciding that art is where I wanted to direct my life. My life is pretty much drama free, not to be confused with stress free, however.

I'm the exact opposite in terms of internet privacy versus real life privacy. I don't like to talk to, or even be near, most people when I'm out and about (probably due to all of the scummy people I've met), but I show a general willingness to talk about anything and everything whilst on the internet.

I thought it was just me, but yeah, SC couldn't keep my interest. Fighting games seem like good party games - short and low-attention required. RPGs all the way, it has a little more satisfaction for me in the fact that there's a clear storyline to follow, a kind of ends to a means. If I MUST waste 60+hrs on a videogame, give me the sense that I just read an amazing book or something.

I'm not surprised to hear that you've done wrestling/boxing. You look like a brawler. This is partly why you cosplaying Steiner is such an exceptional idea. This is not me invoking peer pressure AT ALL.

Although, it should be noted that being a boxer/wrestler/martial artist or any kind of student of fighting styles does not equate drama filled lives. Most of us are so busy keeping up with our fitness and training and take so much pride in what we do that there is little time for focusing on what other people are fussing about. Especially among martial artists, there is a very high code of respect that transcends schools and borders. Very cool.

True that.

I've fallen far out of practice over the last couple years, and it surprises many of my friends when they notice my hidden muscle (it is hidden under layers of... padding) Still, I am moderately beefy. I would certainly never equate martial arts to drama, just that without being a competitor, I've not needed to fight anyone in a very long while (though, I am always at the ready)

As far as a kickass steiner costume goes, I don't currently have the time or money to devote to such an underrtaking, but if my internship turns into a job, I'll be able to quit 7/11 and free up a lot of my time, and at that time I will seriously start putting something together, because it sounds like such an awesome idea.

Also, I'd like to know how you found out this was durable enough for actual fighting :E
